Alexis Sanchez is pushing to bring his ill-fated spell at Manchester United to an end and hopes to leave the club before the European transfer window slams shut on September 2, reports claim.
The Chile international is concerned about his chances for game time this season and is seeking a new club, with Italy his most likely destination.
While his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he expects the former Arsenal attacker to remain in Manchester, insisting he still has a part to play this season, the 30-year-old Chilean is not convinced he will have opportunities to impress under the Norwegian.
