Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes Alisson has made Liverpool ‘genuine’ candidates for the title this season.
Alisson, 26, joined from Roma for a then world-record fee of £65million in the summer and has been an instant hit on Merseyside, becoming the first ever Liverpool player to remain unbeaten after their first 16 Premier League matches.
The Brazilian has conceded only six goals in the English top flight since his debut and his contribution has helped the Reds leapfrog Manchester City at the top of the table.
Neville hailed Alisson’s impact and believes the goalkeeper has been more influential than Virgil van Dijk. Read more
