Alvaro Morata admits he’s ‘very happy’ to be leaving Chelsea and joining Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea have agreed an 18-month loan deal with Atletico while the Spanish club also have the option to purchase the striker, although that clause is not compulsory.
Morata, who cost Chelsea £60 million 18 months ago, arrived in Madrid on Saturday evening and will undergo a medical with Atletico on Sunday.
Barring any complications, Atletico plan to have the transfer completed on Monday, while the striker could make his debut against Real Betis next Sunday. Read more
