The Association of Practitioners of Community Media of Nigeria (APCOM) will tomorrow, June 12 debut with its maiden gala/award evening titled: ‘2019 Elections: Galvanising Public Participation through Community Media,’ in honour of the Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode at Adam & Eve, Ikeja GRA. Former governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba is the chairman of the occasion, while Sam Amuka-Pemu, publisher of Vanguard newspaper, is father of the day. Other dignitaries expected at the event include Kehinde Bamigbetan, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy; Waheed Odusile, president of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ); Lanre Idowu of Diamond Award for Media Excellence (DAME) and a host of other personalities from the media, business and other sectors of the corporate world.
