Anambra to sack unqualified teachers (Nation)

The Anambra State government has said teachers without requisite qualifications will be disengaged by December 31.

Commissioner for Basic Education Prof. Kate Omenugha, in a statement by the ministry’s spokesman, Mr. Nnaemeka Egwuonwu, said the deadline was in line with the earlier directive of the Minister of Education to disengage teachers without requisite teaching qualifications.

She added that the reminder addressed to the Chairman, State Post Primary Schools Service (PPSSC), Anambra State Universal Basic Education (ASUBEB) and Education Secretaries, referred to the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) letter of April 24, 2019 which amplified the Minister’s directive.
