A suspected armed robber noted for robbing people of their belongings, especially, handsets met his waterloo at the weekend, when an angry mob descended on him, beating him to death.
The Guardian gathered that on the day of the incident, the suspect identified as Saidu Sinah a.k.a Ojubitin and his gang allegedly attacked commuters with dangerous weapons, including dagger and snatched a few phones from them before some commuters mustered courage and charged towards one of them.
Spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said it happened at about 6:30a.m, on Friday near AP filling station junction in Agege area of the state. (Guardian)
