Antonio Rudiger says Maurizio Sarri was ‘terrifying’ after Chelsea’s shock defeat to Wolves in the Premier League.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave Chelsea an early lead at Molineux last Wednesday but second-half goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota gave the hosts victory.
The result ensured Chelsea suffered back-to-back away league defeats after they were beaten by Tottenham at the end of last month.
German defender Rudiger says Sarri was ‘going crazy’ immediately after the fixture but had found his composure by the following day and was quick to turn the players’ attentions to Saturday’s clash with Manchester City.
City travelled to Stamford Bridge boasting an unbeaten Premier League record but that run came to an abrupt end as Sarri’s side clinched a 2-0 win. Read more
