The All Progressives Congress Technical Committee, set up to advise the National Executive Committee of the party on the contentious tenure elongation, submitted its report on Friday in Abuja.
The committee was set up on Tuesday.
Our correspondent gathered that the committee asked that the tenure of the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee should not be extended.
The committee, it was also learnt, insisted that the party must hold a national convention, where new officers would be elected.
The report of the committee, according to highly-placed sources, said that it would be illegal to extend the tenure of the executives and, therefore, recommended that there should be congresses and national convention. Read more
