Arkadiusz Milik has apologised to Napoli fans after he was denied by Alisson in the final moments of the side’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah’s 34th-minute strike turned out to be the winner at Anfield and the result meant Napoli were eliminated from the Champions League, while Liverpool progressed through to the knockout stages of the competition.
The Serie A club had a glorious chance to equalise in injury time as the ball fell to Milik’s feet and it appeared the Polish striker could hardly miss on the edge of the six yard box.
However, Alisson produced an incredible save to prove why Liverpool spent £67million on him in the summer.
