The Delta State Police Command has announced the arrest of a member of an armed robbery gang said to be terrorising Ughelli, Warri and Udu environs through a mobile phone stolen from a victim, as well as an 80-year-old man, who allegedly repairs the gang’s guns.
The Police Commissioner in the state, Adeyinka Adeleke, who disclosed this on Thursday in Asaba, gave the names of the suspects as Emmanuel Patrick and Udenmba Ndu Ben.
Patrick, 32, who hails from the Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, confessed to the crime and gave the names of other members of the gang.
The suspect, who was arrested with a pump action gun and seven cartridges, admitted to partaking in three armed robbery operations in the state. Read more
