Arsenal chief reveals why club revoked Aaron Ramsey’s contract offer (Metro)

Raul Sanllehi claims the decision to withdraw the contract offer made to Aaron Ramsey was due to a ‘gathering of strategies’.

Arsenal stunned their fans when Ramsey confirmed the club had halted contract talks and revoked the offer made to the midfielder to extend his deal.

Ramsey’s current contract expires next summer and the Welshman is now free to walk away from the club at the end of the season.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for Ramsey, such is the 27-year-old’s reputation in the Premier League.
