A digital company, Art Tech District, has unveiled a museum called the Discovery Museum where Nigeria’s history and culture is preserved and showcased in a digital format.

Ms Faridah Dikko, General Manager, Art Tech District while briefing journalists in Abuja on Thursday, said the museum is aimed at providing a platform where the Nigerian digital creatives can learn, interact, explore new ideas and display their talents to the world.

She said the company recognized the role of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in today’s world and its crucial role in capturing the attention of individuals, especially the young minds and decided to employ it in promoting the museum-going culture of Nigerians by creating something different and captivating.

Dikko mentioned that the digital museum will educate young people about Nigerian history, culture, music, arts and crafts in a way that is interesting and intriguing.

She said efforts were ongoing to engage more relevant agents of government to extend awareness about the museum and get more Nigerian youths to derive from its benefits. (Sun)
