A Facebook user identified as Agozi Samuel, with the account name, Agozi Commedy, has appealed to popular comedian Ayo Makun, also known as AY, to forgive him for speaking ill against him, adding that he did it “out of hunger” and because he wanted to trend.
AY had earlier revealed on Monday that he had petitioned the Delta State Police Command over “criminal defamation and cyberstalking” by Agozi.
According to the petition, Agozi through his Facebook account, had accused the comedian of having an extra-marital affair with May Edochie, the wife of actor Yul Edochie, and hence responsible for the marital crisis between the couple. Read more
2 die in Lagos-Badagry Expressway auto crash (Nation)
Two people died on the spot on Monday, while four others sustained varying degrees of injury in an auto-crash on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
Mr Williams Manga, Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Badagry, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that the accident occurred at about 5.46 a.m., at Ibereko section of the expressway.

FG inaugurates minimum wage committee tomorrow (Vanguard)
The Federal Government will tomorrow inaugurate a tripartite committee to negotiate a new minimum wage for workers nationwide.
The N30,000 subsisting minimum wage expires in April 2024 as its five years life span will end on April 18, 2024. Recall that former President Muhammad Buhari signed the N30,000 Minimum Wage Act into law on April 18, 2019.
The tripartite committee, comprising representatives of organised private sector, OPS, organised labour and government for a national minimum wage negotiation, is in accordance with the International Labour Organisation, ILO, Convention 131. Read more
Lagos tenant hospitalised as landlady breaks into apartment (Punch)
Olanike, the wife of a car dealer, Ayodeji Soetan, has been hospitalised after their landlady, Juliet Akano, allegedly vandalised and broke into his apartment at Tijani Bello in the Ojodu area of Lagos State.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the incident happened at about 11 am on Wednesday, January 24.
Speaking with our correspondent on Sunday, Soetan said Akano stormed the premises of the two-storey building in the company of some suspected thugs. Read more

Jay Leno files for conservatorship for ailing wife Mavis (UPI)
Comedian Jay Leno has filed for conservatorship of his wife Mavis, who reportedly is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
TMZ cited an unnamed source as saying 77-year-old Mavis is unable to fully take care of herself and her diagnosis is the basis for Leno’s conservatorship request Friday.
