Matchday 4 of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup will see the battle for quarterfinal berths continue unabated, with eight matches to be played across the continent on Sunday, March 3.
The day’s action begins with three afternoon games, as AS Otoho look to bring themselves back into contention in Group A with a home match against Hassania Agadir; Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers will look for revenge over Etoile du Sahel when the teams meet for a Group B match at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium; and Nkana FC could move to within touching distance of the last eight if they complete a ‘double’ over Group C rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The early evening games sees CS Sfaxien looking to continue their dominance of Group B with a win in Ouagadougou against Salitas; Al Hilal will fancy their chances of defeating Group C rivals Zesco United after holding the Zambians 1-1 in Ndola last weekend; and Petro Atletico will host a Zamalek side still searching for their first win in Group D.
Group D leaders Gor Mahia face a tough match away to Algeria’s NA Hussein Dey in one of two night matches. The other is a Moroccan derby between RS Berkane and competition title holders Raja Casablanca at the former’s Municipal Stadium.
RSB claimed an emphatic 4-2 away win over the Green Eagles last weekend and completing a ‘double’ over their compatriots may be enough to secure passage into the quarterfinals (depending on the result of the earlier Group A game between Otoho and Agadir).
