Frank Lampard has confirmed that both Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell are in the Chelsea squad for their Carabao Cup clash with Barnsley on Wednesday night.
Silva and Chilwell will make their Blues debuts against the Championship side at Stamford Bridge, but Hakim Ziyech will have to wait for his as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
Christian Pulisic is also not quite fit and will not be involved in the contest. ‘Chilwell in the squad for tomorrow,’ Lampard told a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
‘Pulisic and Ziyech are getting closer.
‘He [Silva] is in the squad tomorrow. He is getting fit and will make a decision on how many minutes he gets.’ (Metro)
