A horribly disfigured woman’s body was discovered in the eastern French town of Mont-Saint-Martin, not far from the border with Belgium and Luxembourg.
The public prosecutor’s office in Nancy said on Tuesday that a passer-by came across the naked, decapitated woman near an empty factory building on Monday afternoon.
According to the prosecutor, the relatively young woman’s arms and legs were missing.
The investigators had not been able to provide information on the victim or the circumstances surrounding the gruesome crime.
An autopsy would be conducted soon.
Investigators had not yet seen a connection to the discovery of a decapitated male body in a forest 50 kilometres away in eastern France a week ago.(dpa/NAN)
