The Buhari Media Organisation has urged the Peoples Democratic Party to desist from its ‘unwarranted and frivolous’ media attacks on President Muhammadu Buhari over his private trip to the United Kingdom.
The pro-Buhari group said the opposition party lacked the moral ground to even lead the campaign because none of the past presidents on its platform transmitted a letter to the National Assembly whenever they travelled.
The BMO stated these in its reaction to the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, who had criticised the President for embarking on a 10-day private visit to the UK without transmitting a letter to the National Assembly.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Niyi Akinsiju, and Secretary, Cassidy Madueke, the BMO argued that President Buhari had not committed any legal or constitutional infraction and that he was in fact the first Nigerian President to adhere to the Nigerian Constitution in that respect. Read more
