Claude Puel said Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha ‘made Leicester City a family’ in a tribute to the club owner who died in a helicopter crash on Saturday.
The club manager spoke publicly for the first time since Vichai and four others were killed in the crash outside Leicester’s King Power stadium around an hour after the club’s 1-1 draw against West Ham.
Puel said: ‘This has been without doubt one of the hardest weeks in the history of this football club.
‘The tragic loss of five lives has left us all numb.
‘Vichai made Leicester City into a family and made it dream. He invested in the club, in the city and invested in the people.
