Stéphane Pauwels, a columnist with Belgian newspaper La Voix du Nord has said some Ligue 1 sides took Victor Osimhen for granted and will pay dearly for it.
The Nigerian has been fantastic for his French club Lille this season with 13 goals and five assists in 27 league games this season.
Many European clubs especially English Premier League sides Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Spanish giants Real Madrid have made enquiries about the former VfL Wolfsburg player.
Pauwels said he had mentioned the Nigerian’s name to several clubs in France but none of them took his advice seriously.
Pauwels said, “I can tell you that I had talked about Victor Osimhen to a lot of clubs in France and not a single one has moved. Campos (Lille sporting director) had been watching for months and this is the result today.” (Text and photo courtesy Punch)
