A visibly exited Colby Covington halted an interview to take a call from a ‘proud’ Donald Trump after his UFC win over Tyron Woodley.
The welterweight dominated the former champion over five rounds and forced Woodley to call for an injury TKO in the final minutes of the fight.
Woodley yelled out he had hurt his ribs and referee Dan Miragliotta waved off the contest as a result.
A bitter build-up to the fight was dominated by Covington’s pro-Trump persona up against Woodley’s desire to continue to bring attention to Black Lives Matter.
Covington visited Trump at the White House before his fight and UFC president Dana White has recently spoken at the American president’s rallies. (Metro)
