An unidentified American national who arrived Nigeria on March 3rd may have become Nigeria’s first Coronavirus fatality.
The death has been confirmed by officials of Ekiti state government via twitter.
He arrived Lagos, then traveled to Ibadan with his caregiver where they spent two weeks before heading to Ekiti state where he passed on.
His girlfriend has tested negative but the driver who drove them around has tested positive.
The state has commenced full contact tracing and is working in concert with the Oyo state government.
