Court convicts Bobrisky for Naira abuse (Nation)
The Federal High Court in Lagos has convicted popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky for abusing the Naira.
The Nation reported that Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the charges of Naira abuse.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro on Friday convicted him after the review of the facts of the case.
In his allocution, Bobrisky told the court that he was not aware of the law on abusing the naira.
He said that he is a social media influencer with over five million followers. Read more
NERC fines AEDC N200m for violating the new tariff order (Vanguard)
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has fined the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC)N200 million for failure to comply with the prescribed customer band classifications for the tariff billing.
This is contained in a statement issued by the NERC management in Abuja on Friday.
The commission said AEDC was fined for non-compliance with the Supplementary Order to the April 2024 Multi-Year Tariff Order 2024 for the company. Read more

A mother and daughter accused of performing illegal butt injections without any medical expertise were arrested in a sting operation Wednesday.
Consuelo Dal Bo, 56, and her daughter Isabella Dal Bo, 18, have been charged with practicing medicine without a license — a misdemeanor.
Court documents reveal the women went to a home to perform the butt injections on a customer, who was actually an undercover peace officer, and they planned to charge $6,000 for the service. Read more
