A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Gwagwalada, FCT, on Wednesday ordered that three men should be remanded in a correction centre for alleged armed robbery.
The police charged Tasiu Suleiman, Abubakar Mohammed and Haruna Salisu with five counts bordering on armed robbery.
The defendants, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Justice Aliyu Shafa, ordered that the defendant be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre and adjourned the matter until June 20, for hearing.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Okokon Udo had told the court that the defendants and others now at large on Nov. 7, 2023 at Master hotel and Asue hotel in Bwari Area Council, FCT conspired and carried out an unlawful act of felony to wit armed robbery.
Udo said that the defendants and others now at large on the same day attacked one Mr Philip Ephraim with a gun, cutlasses and took away the sum of N150,000 and fire arm generator.
He said that the defendants also attacked and robbed Mr Life Mathias with a gun and stole his two phones, wristwatch, Point of Sale (POS) machine and N86,000.
The offence, he said, was punishable under Section 1 (2) (a) (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (special provisions) Act Cap R11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004. (NAN)
