Over 600 people have died of the novel coronavirus in Nigeria, as 790 fresh infections were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Wednesday night via its Twitter handle.
The NCDC listed the total number of confirmed cases in the country as 26, 484, while those discharged are 10,152. Sadly, 603 have died.
More than 10.6 million people around the world have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, over 5.6 million have recovered, and more than 515,000 have died, according to Johns Hopkins University.
