Tension erupted at the Government House in Asaba at the weekend when a cow attacked a staff member, causing panic among workers.
The cow, which was meant for slaughter, went on a rampage and injured several people. One of the victims, a man in his 30s who attempted to subdue the animal, was severely injured after being knocked down and was immediately rushed to the emergency unit of the Government House clinic.
According to a source, the victim sustained deep wounds on his thighs and was initially taken to the Government House Clinic for emergency care. (Guardian)
