A father who raped his own child when she was as young as 12 has been jailed for 18 years.
Ashleigh Pell, 66, raped and indecently assaulted his daughter Rebecca over a two-year period until she was 14 in the north Yorkshire area and elsewhere.
Rebecca, who is now 43 and waived her right to anonymity, contacted police by email in 2017 to report what he had done to her in the 80s and 90s.
She was praised by a judge at Bradford Crown Court on Monday for her courage and strength in reporting the rape and giving her evidence in court. Read more
