Busola Dakolo has told a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja that the rape allegedly committed against her by the founder and Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo, has adversely affected her marital sex life. She therefore demanded “a personal letter of apology” from the cleric to show honest remorse for his misdeeds. The National Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, South Africa, Archbishop Benson Uhwa, has said that arrangements are being made to repatriate Nigerians in Police custody back to Nigeria. He explained that many Nigerians detained for visa violation had been languishing in South African Police custody for a long time. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has commended five domestic airlines for their consistency in the remittance of the five per cent Ticket Sales Charges/Cargo Sales Charges (TSC/CSC). The Chairman of the Concerned Pensioners in Benue State, Peter Kyado, has confirmed the death of three members of the group. He said they died in the struggle for payment of their allowances. Summer heat killed nearly 1,500 in France, officials say (BBC)
Record heatwaves in June and July caused the deaths of 1,435 people in France this year, according to the country’s health minister. Speaking on French radio, Agnès Buzyn said half of those who died were aged over 75.
