Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, says all efforts must be on deck to ensure that Nigeria have a successful outing at the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Nigeria had an abysmal performance at the 2016 Games in Brazil, winning just one bronze medal.
The minister stated that he had held meetings with the federations on how to make an impact in Tokyo.
“I continued my series of crucial meetings with board members of the various sports federations. First, basketball, badminton and weightlifting federations have made Nigeria (proud). All efforts must be geared towards a successful and sustainable outing at Tokyo 2020,” he wrote on his Twitter handle. Read more
