Delta State has discharged two COVID-19 patients from the isolation centre in the state.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa made this known on his verified Twitter handle Tuesday tweeting: “Dear Deltans, it is my pleasure to announce the discharge of two of the five #COVID19 patients in our state”.
Delta State has recorded six confirmed COVID-19 cases, with two recoveries and one death.
Okowa further tweeted that, “As we continue to monitor the recovery process of the other three active cases, I ask that you all continue to adhere to the precautionary measures and isolation directives we have put in place. Together, we will beat this”.
The governor, who reportedly said that social distancing rules will be strictly applied for burials and weddings with no more than 50 persons, also announced gradual ease on the lockdown restrictions with civil servants from Grade Level 12 and above asked to resume work from Thursday, April 30.
Delta State had on April 1 closed all offices, public spaces as a necessary measure aimed at reducing the risk of transmission of the virus.
