Walking football has become increasingly popular over the last few years – and for good reason. Aimed at adults over 50, walking football has social, mental and physical health benefits.
Kathy Broadfield, a 64 year old, plays for Birmingham Walking Football: “I think its’s a good idea, you get the camaraderie, the friendship and I lost a stone and a half. Going to the gym, I lost nothing, but walking football, pounds!”
