Draws Ceremony, distribution of jerseys for 2nd Restoration Cup now April 19

The Local Organising Committee of the Governor Henry Seriake Dickson Football Tournament has announced that the Official Draws Ceremony and distribution of jerseys for the second edition of the competition has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 19, 2018.

A statement signed by Daniel Alabrah, the tournament’s media director, said this is to enable more interested communities and participants complete their registration process for the competition otherwise known as Restoration Cup.

The statement further said that the ceremony, at which Governor Dickson will be the special guest of honour, will also have his deputy, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah, as the guest of honour. Others expected to grace the event are Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Peter Singabele, a CAF Committee Member and the Chief Host, Perekiye Buruboyefe, Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports.

Date is Thursday, April 19, while venue is DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.

Time for the event is 12 o’clock.

All LGA chairpersons, commissioners, political appointees, coaches/captains of all registered community football teams in the state, sports journalists, Bayelsa Football Association, Bayelsa Referees Association, stakeholders, coaches, footballers and the general public are cordially invited, the statement said.
