Atletico Madrid have asked La Liga to block Antoine Griezmann’s registration at Barcelona, according to a report from Sky Sports.
The Blaugrana completed the signing of the French forward when they triggered his €120m release clause this month, but Kaveh Solhekol has reported Los Rojiblancos feel they are entitled to €200m.
Atleti now allege that the signing had been done before the clause dropped to €120m from €200m, and that they are now thus entitled to a further €80m from Barca.
A statement from Atleti earlier this month alleged that they would take the Catalan giants to court over the deal, which they believe they can prove was agreed before the clause dropped. Read more
