Eden Hazard has capped his sensational start to the new season by winning September’s Premier League Player of the Month Award.
The Belgium international has been rejuvenated by Antonio Conte’s successor Mauirizio Sarri, benefiting from the Italian’s more adventurous approach.
Hazard has is currently leading the race for the Golden Boot with seven goals, having been challenged to score 40 in all competitions by Sarri following his hat-trick in the recent 4-1 win over Cardiff.
Hazard’s form has been central to Chelsea’s unbeaten start to the new season but his future remains uncertain with talks over a new deal having stalled.
The 27-year-old came close to leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer amid interest from Real Madrid and Hazard, whose current deal expires in the summer of 2020, admitted earlier this week he still harbours the ambition to play in Spain and challenge for the Ballon d’Or.
