No fewer than 25 entrepreneurs have emerged in the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi’s first industrial television reality show.
The organisers said the show aimed at promoting indigenous technologies that would create rapid industrialisation of the country’s economy and lead to job creation and self-reliance.
Speaking during the unveiling of the beneficiaries, one of the facilitators, who is also the Chief Executive Officer, Lashone Links Group of Companies, Dr. Lanre Shonekan, noted that the 25 entrepreneurs were selected out of the over 10,000 youths that applied.
Shonekan noted that the selection processes were tough as the judges had to go through all the geo-political zones of the country to pick the best 25 people that made it to the next stage.
He listed the centres where selections were done to include Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Anambra.
He explained that the 25 entrepreneurs would be kept in a house for six weeks where they would be exposed to more research and development technologies that would equip them with techniques for manufacturing and production. Read more
