Nigerian Institution of Surveyors has been challenged to assist the three tiers of government in providing lasting solution to the boundary conflict facing the country.
A Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmad, gave the challenge at the opening ceremony of the 53rd annual General Meeting and conference of the Institute with the theme: ‘Unlocking Nigeria’s Land Capital, Surveying and Mapping for Economic Recovery’ held in Bauchi last Tuesday.
Yayale recalled that for over the years, the federal government has given special attention to land development for the economic enhancement of the people.
He attributed the challenges facing surveying profession to inability of some members to discharge their responsibilities in accordance with the ethics of their profession. Read more
