Goethe-Institut Nigeria will be holding a culinary exploration into Nigerian and German food tagged Food Crossroads on Saturday, May 12.
A statement released by Head of Information and Library Services of the institute, Safurat Balogun, announcing the event said that over the past few years, the Goethe-Institut in Nigeria has supported authors and publishers from around the country.
“In fact, in the last two years the focus has been on African authors in Nigeria and in the diaspora with the programme ‘Literary Crossroads’ – a series of talks where Nigerian writers meet colleagues from all over the continent and from the African diaspora to discuss trends, topics and themes prevalent in literature today,” the statement explained.
This year, the focus is on food as a connection between people(s), similarities between Nigerian and German food, and the narrative of food in and through media from writing to photography and video.
Hence, on Saturday, May 12, at 3pm, there will be a life cooking session with the celebrated Nigerian food explorer and blogger Ozoz Sokoh aka Kitchen Butterfly and the popular German chef and travel influencer Felicitas Then.
Venue: “Lecker Bakery and Restaurant” , 5A Tokunbo Omisore Street, Off Wole Olateju Crescent (opp. Diamond Bank on Admiralty Way and very close to Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge), Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
