An Irish League footballer has been jailed after he took a picture of himself having sex with a 16-year-old girl wearing his team’s kit.
Striker Jay Donnelly will spend three months behind bars after admitting sharing an indecent image of a child.
Donnelly sent the picture to a number of fellow Cliftonville FC players on WhatsApp and it was later leaked on social media.
Judge David McFarland said the incident in 2016 had had a deep and lasting impact on Donnelly’s victim. Read more
