In a solemn and heartfelt ceremony, the Nigeria Police Force bids farewell to one of its distinguished veterans, CP Frank Odita, who served as the Force Public Relations Officer from 1990 to 1992.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, led the entire police fraternity in mourning the loss of this remarkable officer, highlighting the indelible mark he left on the hearts of many.
CP Frank Odita’s tenure as the Force PRO was marked by his unwavering commitment and exemplary service, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers, the media, and the public. He played a pivotal role in enhancing the image of the Nigeria Police Force and in fostering better relations with the media and the community.
IGP Egbetokun, expressed the profound sorrow of the NPF family, recognizing that CP Odita’s passing leaves a significant void in the force. He further emphasised that the legacy of CP Frank Odita’s contributions will be cherished and remembered with the utmost respect.
As CP Frank Odita is laid to rest on the 3rd of November, 2023, in his hometown of Ibusa, Delta State, the entire police force extends their heartfelt condolences to his grieving family and loved ones. The IGP offered prayers for the repose of CP Odita’s soul, affirming that his memory will serve as a lasting source of inspiration for all officers as they continue to strive for excellence in their duties. CP Frank Odita’s legacy will forever live on in the annals of the Nigeria Police Force.
