Frank Lampard has urged Callum Hudson-Odoi to learn from Manchester City star Raheem Sterling in how to become a ‘complete player’ with ‘work ethic added to talent’.
Hudson-Odoi returned from a serious Achilles injury to start against Grimsby on Wednesday night and the 18-year-old forward scored the final goal as Chelsea won 7-1 to reach the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Speaking after the game, Lampard was critical of Hudson-Odoi’s performance and admitted he had to have a stern word with the youngster at half-time over his tactical role in the side.
However, Hudson-Odoi and fellow academy graduate Reece James are in Chelsea’s squad for their clash with Brighton this weekend. Read more
