A fuel tanker has exploded along the Otedola Bridge axis of Berger in Lagos with the blaze engulfing many other vehicles.
According to the Twitter handle of the Lagos State Security, @followlsstf,
“Fuel tanker explodes on Otedola bridge, Berger, not less than ten vehicles affected, seek alternative routes. @lasemasocial @LAG_FireService @rrslagos767 are on ground to calm the situation”.
Other sources including the Rapid Response Squad twitter handle, @rrslagos767, confirm the incident.
The tanker is said to have been heading inwards Lagos towards Alausa when the crash occurred stopping traffic on both sides of the road.
There is no official word on the number of casualties yet.
