Garth Crooks has warned Gareth Southgate that he risks missing out on Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori if he doesn’t hand the in-form defender an international call-up soon.
The 21-year-old has emerged as a first-team regular for Chelsea under Frank Lampard in recent weeks, starting in five of the club’s last six matches in all competitions.
Tomori impressed during Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, playing his part as Lampard’s side kept their first clean sheet of the campaign.
The youngster has featured for England at U21 level but is eligible to represent Canada and Nigeria at senior level and Crooks claims that the latter nation are very interested in his services. Read more
