Germany, IG train FSARS operatives on human rights, others (Nation)
The German Foreign Office and the office of the Inspector-General of Police (IG) on Monday commenced a two-week human rights training for 135 operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) in Lagos. The training is part of the reformation of the unit which was carried out in line with presidential directive. The presidency had ordered the overhaul of FSARS following public outcry on alleged infractions by the operatives. Read more
FG redeploys four Permanent Secretaries (Nation)
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday approved the redeployment of four federal permanent secretaries to various ministries. Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOS), made this known in a statement in Abuja. She stated that Alhaji Mu’azu Abdulkadir, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel have been redeployed to Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Read more

Traders protest closure of Nigerians’ businesses in Ghana (ThisDay)
