Globacom, a leading telecommunications services provider, has called on Nigerian workers to explore additional ways to contribute to the country’s growth.
In a solidarity message marking the 2024 International Workers’ Day, the company praised the resilience of Nigerian workers in the face of various challenges encountered in the line of duty. Highlighting the indispensable role of workers in both the public and private sectors, Globacom emphasised that the story of Nigeria would be incomplete without recognising their immense contributions.
Globacom commended Nigerian workers for their hard work, commitment, resourcefulness, and industry, all of which are crucial for the economic growth of any nation.
The telecommunications giant further noted that the story of Nigeria cannot be adequately chronicled without acknowledging the immense contributions of workers, both in the public and private sectors.
The day is observed on May 1 yearly in recognition of the contributions of workers all over the world and to advance fairer and more sustainable future by advocating for workers’ rights.
