Gonzalo Higuain has hinted that he plans on joining Chelsea permanently this summer as he strives to secure Champions League qualification for next season.
The 31-year-old striker has scored three goals in eight appearances for the Blues since his January loan move to Stamford Bridge and will be hoping for a start at home to Wolves on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea have responded well after a tumultuous period both on and off the pitch and will briefly leapfrog Arsenal and Manchester United into fourth in the Premier League with a victory over Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.
Higuain has had domestic success with Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus down the years but the Argentinian is desperate to win the Champions League – the one ‘missing’ trophy from his impressive list of honours. Read more
