Governors’ forum to hold conference on cross-border cooperation (Guardian)

The Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum (LCBGF) has announced plans to hold a conference on regional cross-border cooperation.

The meeting is to address socio-economic and gender inequalities, as well as environmental challenges affecting the areas.

Members of the forum, involving Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria are expected to find a political process to preventing further crisis in the region.
