Hannibal Mejbri has spoken of his delight at joining Manchester United and revealed that academy star Noam Emeran advised him to complete a move to Old Trafford.
United agreed a €5million (£4.6m) fee – which could rise to €10m (£9.3m) – with Monaco to sign Mejbri in the summer and the 16-year-old midfielder jetted into England with his agent last week to finalise the transfer.
It’s understood Bayern Munich and Arsenal were also keeping close tabs on the youngster after he broke into Monaco’s first-team last season and made his professional debut for the club.
Mejbri will be reunited with a familiar face in United’s academy after fellow France Under-16 international Emeran joined from Amiens back in February. Read more
