Jake Gyllenhaal has revealed his Brokeback Mountain co-star Heath Ledger hated people making ‘gay jokes’ about the movie, which detracted from the love story.
Heath and Jake starred opposite each other in the critically acclaimed same-sex love story fifteen years ago, and Jake has revealed how much the movie meant to the two actors.
The 38-year-old told Sunday Today: ‘I see people who have joked with me or criticised me about lines I say in that movie.
‘That’s the thing I loved about Heath. He would never joke. Someone wanted to make a joke about the story or whatever, he was like, “No. This is about love. Like, that’s it, man. Like, no.”’ Read more
