A mystery woman has vanished into thin air with two children, Ella Fadilat Ajomale and Ashabi Rodiat Bamidele, aged four and two years, respectively, in Igando community, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Daily Sun gathered that the incident occurred on December 30, 2024.#It was learnt that Ella’s mother, Mariam and Ashabi’s mother, Rofiat have been inconsolable since the incident.
In an exclusive chat with Daily Sun, a landlord in the area, Prince Sulaimon Gbadamosi said the affected families were his tenants at No. 3A Gbadamosi Street, Igando.
He disclosed that the incident occurred at the Sansan Field in Igando, as the popular end-of-year carnival known as Sansan Carnival was in full swing.
Gbadamosi said that the mystery woman hid under the pretext of attending the carnival to perpetrate the devious act.
The resident said, “We have been looking for two children since December 30, 2024. This unknown woman claimed she came for a carnival at the proposed new Onigando palace ground popularly known as Sansan.
“She pretended as if she wanted to take a (bottle) of beer. She took one Goldberg beside my house at No. 3A, Gbadamosi Street, Igando.
“The children, about four of them, were playing. When the woman was drinking, she called the children to come around.
“She gave them money to go and buy biscuits. They came to my wife’s shop to get the biscuit for the children.#“Although the mother of (one of) the children does not normally stay as she has her own house, they rented my apartment at Igando.
“She was around that very day. Immediately the woman came around, she called the children, and they followed her inside.
“After following her inside, you know how children are, maybe because of the biscuits and sweets, they went back to the woman (suspect). The woman now pretended as if she wanted to send money to the beer parlour owner, one Mariam Obayemi. Even her children were among the kids.
“We don’t know how the woman (suspect) did it. But ever since, we have been looking for the children.”
He said that spirited efforts have been made to locate the children, including reporting at the Igando Police Division and the palace of the Onigando of Igando, Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi, with no positive result.
Daily Sun called the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin to confirm the development but his phone number indicated it was busy.
