Hardship: Reps to slash salaries by 50% (Sun)

The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has reverted to the status quo on the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions from 18 to 16 years.

This follows the protest from stakeholders at the on-going Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) policy meeting.

Court orders final forfeiture of 5 Lagos properties linked to Ex-NAPL MD (Channels)

The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of five choice properties linked to a former Managing Director of Nigerian Army Properties Limited (NAPL) Major-General Umaru Mohammed to the Federal Government.

Justice Chukujekwu Aneke gave the final forfeiture order on Wednesday following a motion by the lawyer to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), A.O. Mohammed.

EFCC had told the court that investigations revealed that the properties were fraudulently misappropriated and the proceeds of the sale diverted for personal use. Read more

The Executive Secretary of the Benue State Primary Health Care Board, BSPHCB, Mrs. Grace Wende made this known in Makurdi at a one day review meeting of health stakeholders and development partners at the Local Government level.

Ferrari’s chances of signing Formula 1 design genius Adrian Newey have reportedly ‘receded significantly’, in a major blow for Sir Lewis Hamilton.

It was announced back in May that Newey would be leaving Red Bull after 18 highly successful years as their chief technical officer.
