Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that it took the intervention of the crew and God to save his life after he survived a helicopter crash on Saturday, February 2.

The helicopter conveying the Vice President crash-landed in Kogi State where he had gone for a political engagement.

The VP proceeded with the said political engagements in Kogi State after the crash.

He said on his twitter handle: โ€œWe are safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well.

โ€œWe believe that God will continue to keep us and Nigeria safe even as we go higher.

โ€œWe continue #NextLevelEngagements in Kabba, Kogi State.โ€

His spokesperson, Laolu Akande, while confirming the incident also on twitter said: โ€œVP Osinbajoโ€™s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.โ€
